Welcome to SIACAD!
APEX 12 Unveiled exactly on 12/12 precisely at 12:12:12
APEX users and invited guests waited eagerly for the exact time APEX 12 was unveiled. As with previous upgrades, the tagline of this new version was revealed precisely at the fixed time, in this case at 12:12:12.
APEX 12 "1 System, 2 Solutions!"
Our Innovation Director, Ben Thum, then gave a quick overview of the conceptual framework, inspiration, observations, feedback and wishlist from users that have been distilled down to features and improvements that are truly Awesome, Faster, Better and Cool!
As with earlier versions where the version number inspires the tagline and conceptual framework, APEX 12 is based on the number 12. But we have looked at 12 as 2 different numbers : 1 and 2, hence "1 System, 2 Solutions". APEX has always been the solution for information, project, cost and hr management. Recently, users have been requesting for a solution for their BIM needs. In APEX 12, we are using one system (APEX) to handle both these solutions.
Our BIM solution is based on our SIAiDOL Design Object Library management system which was launched on 26th July 2013. While most users can use SIAiDOL to access our library of Generic and Manufacturers' Object libraries, APEX users have the advantage of being able to upload, manage and share in-house Object libraries. There is also better access controls for BIM Object Library usage and a complete audit history of all the uploads, postings and revisions.
APEX 12 also addresses the main modules like FileMan, Email, Events, Contacts and HR. FileMan now includes Vetting, Delete Logs, improved download engine and several other improvements. Email now has recipient count, check against Project Team and other updates that helps ensure you are more effective in handling project emails. We also made several speed and usage improvements for APEXM - our mobile device version of APEX. Users can now access and use more information directly from their mobile devices.
There are too many features and updates in APEX 12 to list here in a webpage. In fact, APEX 12 is the most intensive and far-reaching upgrade we have ever released. APEX users who did not attend this launch are encouraged to contact us using StickyNotes and sign up for the test drive. We are confident that you will be impressed by APEX 12 so much so that you will want to upgrade immediately, like RDC Architects, ADDP, Enovate and several others.
So what's next? APEX 13, of course! Watch out for this next upgrade exactly on 13/01/2015 precisely at 13:13:13
In closing, we also wish to thank all APEX Users for supporting us over the years, giving us valuable feedback, wishlist and encouragement.
